From the 3rd – 8th July myself and 3 other physio’s supported Sports Tours International with their clients at the 21st ‘L’Etape du Tour’ in Annecy. We flew out on Wednesday and spent the Thursday setting up our clinic at the expo and assisting the reps with sorting the bikes for their 750 clients arriving over the next few days. Friday and Saturday we worked 11hrs straight providing pre-race massages, physio and Rock-Tape support for the eager yet nervous cyclists as they came to the expo to pick up their race packs. Sunday saw 11,475 cyclists tackle this years route from Annecy to Annecy-Semnoz with 10,624 managing to finish, who then proceeded to land in exhausted and sweaty heaps on our tables for their post race massage! Congratulations to everyone who completed this years event.
